The 1.117 meter long Ampera Bridge in Palembang crosses the river Musi and is the fourth longest bridge in Indonesia. When a ship passes by, the center part of this bridge can be raised. It takes around 30 minutes to complete this routine. The view of this bridge with lights around the bridge is very beautiful during the night time. Alongside with its function as a transportation infrastructure Ampera Brigde is also a tourist spot. The Ampera Brigde is a suspension bridge.
The Barelang Bridge in Batam or Habibie Bridge is the eight longest bridge in Indonesia. This bridge uses the stayed cable construction. The Barelang Bridge connects Batam Island, Galang Island, Galang Baru Island, Nipah Island, Tonton Island and Ripah Island.
The Barito Bridge in Banjarmasin connects the eastern coast of the Barito river in Alalak sub-district and the western coast of the river in Anjir Muara sub-district. This suspension bride is 1.082 meter long and crosses the Barito River and the Bakut Island. The Barito Bridge ensures the Trans Borneo access between Palangkaraya and Banjarmasin.
The 640 m long Kahayan Bridge crosses the Sungai Kahayan River and is 9 m wide, 12 spans of steel truss and a steel struss section with extra supporting steel arch. Kahayang Bridge connects Pahandut Seberang village with the city of Palangkaraya.
Kutai Kartanegara Tenggarong Bridge or Mahakam II Bridge has the length of 710 meter. This bridge spans from Kecamatan Tenggarong and Kecamatan Tenggarong Seberang. The Kutai Kartanegara Bridge is a suspension bridge and the tenth longest bridge in Indonesia.
The Mahakam Ulu Bridge in Samarinda stands over Sungai Mahakam River and connects Sengkotek Samarinda Seberang village and Loa Buah Sungai Kunjang village. The 789 meter-long bridge has a central arch to span 200 m and reinforced concrete construction for the other parts.
The Pasupati Bridge in Bandung connects the eastern and northern part of Bandung and crosses the Cikapundung Valley with as a cable-stayed bridge. This stayed cable bridge is 2,8 km long and 30 - 60 meter wide, which will be the second longest bridge in Indonesia. It is expected that this bridge can reduce traffic congestion in Bandung city.
Rumpiang bridge that spans across the Barito River has a length of 753 meters. Using arched steel frame for its construction, it connects city of Banjarmasin with Marabahan city. With this bridge means to cross the Barito river are not limited to boats.
Suramadu Bridge is a bridge between Surabaya with Madura Island over Madura Straits. At the widest span this bridge uses stayed cable construction. This part is connected by a transition section made of reinforced concrete to the elevated road. This bridge with a width of 30 m brigdes a total of 5,248 m and is the longest bridge in Indonesia. Tengku Agung Sultanah Bridge or Siak Bridge is located in Siak Sri Indrapura. The bridge with the length of 1,196 meter and a width of 16.95 meter was built with cable stayed system which will last for 100 years. On top of the bridge there are two towers as high as 80 meter and has 2 elevators to go up to the top of the tower. Beyond a transportation infrastructure the bridge has become a tourist sport.
